We need the password or PIN you use to log in to the computer so we can run our hardware tests. It is stored encrypted, only our technicians can see it, it is never sent by email, and it is deleted once your job is finished.

What happened

Rates (excl. VAT):
  • Initial consultation: Free — determines whether the fault is physical or logical, doesn't include opening the drive or any recovery attempt.
  • Clean room diagnostic: £79.
  • Physical data recovery (single drive): £450 for labour, plus the cost of a donor drive if one's required.
  • Logical recovery — deleted files on a standard hard drive (up to 2 hours' work): £99. 24–48 hours of recovery work: £150 (1TB) to £250 (4TB).
  • SSD recovery (firmware/board repair): £450–£650 depending on complexity.
  • RAID recovery: £650 for RAID 0; £850–£1,500 for RAID 5, 6 and 10, depending on the number of drives.
  • NAS recovery: £450 for a 2TB (1TB+1TB) NAS with one drive to repair; £650 for a QNAP or Synology RAID 5 NAS.
  • A non-refundable initial fee — the fee for whichever service applies to your job — is required to begin work, and applies even if the data turns out to be unrecoverable, or if you withdraw partway through.
  • If you want your original drive shipped back, please include £20+VAT for shipping.
